Your role

As a Controller focusing on the social transformation in Malmberget, you will work with financial monitoring and analysis in a long-term assignment that has a significant impact on both the business and society.

Your tasks include supporting the business, working with financial statements and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and investments/projects. Your main tasks are related to the social transformation, but you will also work in other areas and are expected to contribute to well-functioning financial processes within the business area.

The department for social transformation in Malmberget is responsible for phasing out areas affected by mining, ensuring land access for replacement areas, and investing in new infrastructure. The work includes planning, decision-making processes, implementation of construction projects, and financial monitoring.

You will organizationally belong to the Controlling and System Support section within the Iron Ore business area, together with a team of controllers and developers who work with operational and IT support within the finance area. The role involves close collaboration with the project organization in Malmberget and actively supporting their daily and long-term work.

The position is preferably located in Gällivare, but Luleå or Kiruna can also be considered. If you are stationed in a location other than Malmberget, travel will be a natural and regular part of the role.

What you bring with you

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are communicative and have an easy time collaborating with different parts of the business. You are confident in your role as a controller and have the ability to work both analytically and in detail, while also being able to lift your gaze and see the bigger picture in an assignment that spans several parts of the project flow.

You work in a structured and meticulous manner, but you are also flexible and solution-oriented when circumstances change. The role involves handling complex issues, where collaboration and a humble approach are central – we solve challenges together.

We see that you have an interest in operationally close controlling and enjoy a role where you can take responsibility, contribute with analysis, and transform financial information into clear decision-making material. You communicate in a way that creates understanding among different types of stakeholders and are comfortable working both independently and in a team.

We would like you to have:

• A degree in economics, such as a Master of Science in Business and Economics or Industrial Economics, but other educational backgrounds can also be relevant
• Experience in qualified controller work
• Good experience with the Office suite, primarily Excel
• Meritorious with experience in IFS
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• A valid driver's license is a requirement for all positions at LKAB
